"Moose" Fix

Taken from CEG - INFO

Engine emits strange fog-horn like noise and stalls (Moosing)

This appears to be fairly common on 1995 models equipped with the 2.5L V6. The internal Ford name for this is "Moosing." The original TSB for this problem was TSB 96-19-5. TSB 97-22-3 applies to early SVT's, although it will probably work just fine on other years and models. Here is the list of parts replaced with TSB 97-22-3:

XS2Z9F715BA - IAC Valve
F8RZ9H308AA - Air Valve Tube Ass'y
E83Z9F670A - Gasket

Moosing can also happen after installing an aftermarket filter-charger intake such as the Kurtz. Doing the Throttle Hang fix will eliminate it, although from owner reports it appears to affect performance on later model (98.5+) SVT's (probably due to the new IAC valve mentioned above.)

Thanks to CEG for the information.
